Common Admission Test (CAT) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). Apart from 20 IIMs, CAT scores are used for admission to various management institutes across the country.

CAT 2017 is scheduled to be held on November 26, 2017. The exam will be conducted by IIM Lucknow and it includes three steps:

STEP 2: Admit CardsCAT 2017
admit cards will available for download on the official website. CAT aspirants must download their admit cards from the official website as they won't be sent to them by post.

STEP 3: CAT 2017 Results
Cat 2017 result will be declared in January 2018. The test takers can check their scores and download their scorecards from the official website. Based on their scores they will be invited by the IIMs for GD/PI rounds. CAT score is accepted by most of management institutes in India.

CAT ELIGIBILITY

Here are the eligibility criteria for CAT 2017:The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST and PWD/DA category).

Percentage obtained in bachelor’s degree would be calculated on the basis of practice followed by the concerned university/institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion would be based on the process defined by the concerned university/ institution.

In absence of any percentage conversion scheme, candidate’s CGPA will be divided by maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply for CAT.

CAT registration process is a three-step online process.

The three step registration process involves –registration, log in and filling the application form. After registering, applicants have to fill the application form on the official website.

As per the rules:
Candidates will have four options to select the test cities in order of preference. Candidates need not to rush during the initial registration days to block slots.

Candidates do not have the option to choose exam centre. They will be granted their first preferred city as test centre. In case, they do not get the first preference, the same process will be repeated for the second, third and fourth preferred city. 

Test Fees
The registration fee is Rs 1800 for General and NC-OBC candidates and Rs 900 for SC/ST/PWD (DA) categories.

Mode of Payment
The test fee can be paid via Debit/Credit cards or through internet banking.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level computer-based management entrance test. The test is conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). It is a three hour online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.

CMAT 2018 registrations began on October 20, 2017 and the exam will be held on January 21, 2018.

CMAT comprises of four steps:

STEP 1: Application process
To apply for CMAT 2018, candidates need to register on the official CMAT website as new user. On successful registration, a login ID will be shared which can be used for all login purposes. 

STEP 2: Admit Card
CMAT 2018 admit cards will be available for download on the official website, as per the schedule. Registered candidates can download their admit cards till the day before exam.

STEP 3: CMAT 2018
CMAT 2018 will be held in online mode on the scheduled date. Duration of the exam will be 180 mins and the candidates will have to solve 100 questions in MCQ format. The candidates must reach their exam centre an hour before commencement of the exam.

STEP 4: CMAT 2018 result
CMAT 2018 result will be declared by AICTE on the scheduled date. The candidates can download their scorecards from the official website. CMAT scores are valid for admission to all AICTE approved Institutes/University/Colleges.

CMAT 2018 ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility criteria for CMAT 2018 is:

The aspirant should be a graduate in any discipline

Final year students of graduate courses (10+2+3) are also eligible for CMAT, provided the results are declared before commencement of admission for 2018

There’s no age limit for CMAT

The candidate must be a citizen of India

CAT 2017 PROCESS

To apply for CMAT 2018, candidates need to log on to official website of CMAT. Exam registrations began on October 20, 2017.

While filling up application form, aspirants need to select dates and three cities (test venues) for online examination in the order of preference. Thereafter, candidates will be allotted dates and test centres on “first come first served” basis. Actual allotment, however, will be subject to availability of the slots in a particular city.

Test Fee
Test fees for General and OBC candidates is Rs 1400 + Bank charges, while for SC/ST/PD candidates it is Rs 700 + Bank charges.“Test Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances,” informed an official notification.

Mode of Payment
Candidates pay the application fee via Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card through www.aicte-cmat.in. One can also opt for Cash Payment through challan generated online and cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI).

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2017 ( SNAP )

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a national-level management entrance examination, conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU). SNAP test scores are valid for admission to 15 institutes under SIU. The scores are also valid for admission to various other MBA or equivalent courses.

This year, the authorities have moved away with the conventional pen-paper based exam and have introduced the exam in an online mode. Since the exam’s inception in the year 2007, this is the first time that it will be conducted in a computer-based mode. 

2017 registrations began on Aug 22, 2017, and the last date to apply for the exam is Nov 24, 2017. SNAP Test has been scheduled for Dec 17, 2017. 

SNAP is a two-hour duration (from 2 pm to 4 pm) exam and is conducted in 102 cities all over India.

Every year, the admission team of SCMHRD conducts an interactive session ‘SNAP IT’ in 15 cities and 17 locations of India for the MBA aspirants to address all the issues aspirants may face during exam preparation. Last year, SNAP IT was held on December 10 and 11, 2016. The discussion includes recent changes in the exam pattern (if any), and ways to tackle them. Also, focus is laid on the key aspects of the interview and group discussions where members of SCMHRD share their personal experience. In the session, the aspirants are provided a general perspective to other exams as well.

SNAP 2017 ELIGIBILITY

Here’s SNAP 2017 test eligibility criteria:

Graduates in any discipline with at least 50% marks from recognised university or institute (45% for SC/ST candidates) for all the Master of Business Administration programmes.

Final year students are also eligible for SNAP test.

There’s no age limit for SNAP test.

Specific subject specialisations may require a previous degree in the same field. Please visit the respective institutes’ websites for complete details.

SNAP 2017 PROCESS

Step 1: Fill in the Application form
Candidates willing to appear for SNAP 2017 need to first fill in the application form. Aspirants can apply on the official website of SNAP. The provision of offline application is not available. 

Candidates need to register for SNAP and institutes offering his/ her choice of MBA program separately. The application fees for SNAP is Rs 1500 while for each institute and for each program is Rs 1000. To register for the programme, candidates need to visit the individual institute's website. 

The registration fees for SNAP 2017 is Rs 1500. MBA registration fee for each institute is Rs 1000. Candidates can choose to apply through the following modes: 
Credit Card / Net Banking
Cash Payment
Demand Draft

Step 2: Download SNAP 2017 Admit Card
Candidates appearing for SNAP 2017 can download their respective admit cards from the official website. The admit card can be downloaded by entering the candidate’s email ID and password. Once the candidate prints the admit card, he/she needs to paste a passport size colored photograph duly attested by Gazetted Officer. 

Step 3: Appear for SNAP 2017 exam
SNAP is conducted in an offline mode wherein test-takers will be allotted 120 minutes to solve exam carrying 150 marks. Candidates will be assessed on General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, General Awareness, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. Candidates must note that they can use Blue or Black ball point pen only to mark the answers.

Step 4: Check SNAP 2017 Result
Test-takers can expect SNAP 2017 result within a month from the date of examination. The scorecards will be available on the official website. Candidates can download their result by providing their respective SNAP 2016 ID and password. 

Step 5: GD/PI/WAT
The final merit list for admission to the various MBA programs offered by SIU will be based on Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). SNAP test score out of 180 will scaled down to 50. Candidates who secure their names in the final merit list will be further called for admission to an institute of their preference.

Xavier Aptitude Test 2018 ( XAT )

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is national-level management aptitude test. It is conducted by Xavier School of Management, Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) - Jamshedpur.

XLRI conducts the exam on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT scores are used by more than 800 institutes for admission to MBA, PGDM and other management courses.

XLRI Jamshedpur offers the following management programmes:
Business Management (BM)
Human Resource Management (HRM)
Global Business Management(GBM)
General Management Programme (GMP)

XAT 2018 exam date has been announced. It will be held on January 7, 2018 between 10 am and 1:35 pm. From this year, the exam will be conducted in online mode. 

In 2016, XAT authorities announced a few changes in the test pattern:
In the main question paper (Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation sections), the total number of questions were brought down to 78.

Candidates were given 170 minutes to answer the main question paper, 20 mins extra from previous time limit of 150 mins. 

In order to encourage students to attempt more questions with accuracy, XAT 2017 question paper was created in such a manner that that the top hundred students could complete the test within 170 minutes. The idea behind this is to reduce the low range of scores and encourage good students to do well. 

Aspirants were given a choice of not attempting any 13 questions. Beyond this, any non-attempted question carried a negative mark of 0.05 marks per question.

There was negative marking of 0.25 marks for any wrong answer.

Number of questions in GK section were reduced to 25. However, the time to answer GK and Essay section remained 35 minutes.

There was no negative marking in GK section.

XAT 2018 ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility criteria for XAT 2018:

Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.

Final year students can also (completing final examination by June 2018) can also apply. 

The eligibilty for XLRI programmes like Human Resource Management (HRM), Business Management (BM) is similar. Candidates with three years of work experience will be given preference in Global Business Management.

NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT scores.

XAT 2018 PROCESS

Test Fees
XAT 2018 application fee is Rs 1650 and Rs 300 per XLRI course. Application fee after deadline is (including late fee) Rs 200 and Rs 500 per XLRI course.

Mode of Payment
There are three modes of payment:

Online Payment Gateway:Through VISA/Master Credit/Debit Cards (American Express Card is inadmissible). IDBI Net banking (this option is available only for IDBI account holder)

Cash Payment: Please take a print out of the XAT Pay-In-Slip visit nearest IDBI bank and make the payment.

Demand Draft: Issue a DD from any Bank in favour of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT" payable at Jamshedpur.

The DD needs to be send at the following address:

Jamshedpur- 831001.

The same must be sent within fifteen days from the issuance of DD.
